Trainspotting is, simply put, a brilliant movie. This movie entirely deserves its cult status. The actors are good, the direction is amazing. This being my first Danny Boyle film, I'm impressed. Following the life of heroin addicts, this movie is dirty, gritty, and realistic while remaining funny and captivating. Its above all a character piece, and its done really well. I really don't know what to say, because there's not much to write about, I mean : this movie is really great, see it! Although it contains some pretty hard sequences, I mean, this is first of all a drug movie, its not as heavy as, lets say Requiem for a Dream. Its way more optimistic and cheerful, while remaining realistic.
It's late. I have
Michael Clayton and
The Game on my watch-pile. So, tomorrow.
This was short.
